Eksprespasts, express mail service of Latvijas Pasts, recognised as the best in the world among nearly 200 competing countries

Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts was recognised as the best express mail service in the world in 2018 among 198 competing member countries of the Express Mail Service (EMS) Cooperative of the Universal Postal Union. It was awarded gold level quality assessment. The performance of express mail services in the EMS companies worldwide was evaluated by the international auditing firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers. The official award ceremony for Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts is planned to take place within the EMS General Assembly on the 29th March 2019. 

In 2018, the study was carried out in the companies of the EMS Cooperative of the World Postal Union worldwide, in a total of 198 countries, recording, analysing and evaluating, on a quarterly basis, the quality parameters of express mail items, such as timely delivery of items, data exchange, accessibility of customer service and speed of response, increase in the number of export items, full traceability of the item route and other criteria. 

In accordance with the study by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, timely deliveries are provided for 99% of the items of Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts, accurate data exchange – for 98% of the items, customer service response quality is rated at 95%, increase in the number of export items is 11%, responses to customers over the phone are given within 20 seconds in 85% of cases and item traceability is ensured for all items.

This is evidenced by the fact that among our customers there are all the largest and best known online stores in the Baltics as well as stores which are not traditional online stores, but which offer e-shopping too. We will not remain complacent with the achievements already at hand and will do everything to become even faster, more comfortable and more accessible,” Ansis Karahons, the Director of the Express Mail Department of Latvijas Pasts, points out.

The results of Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts in the PriceWaterhouseCoopers study commissioned by the EMS Cooperative have been corresponding to the top positions in the competition among express mail service companies in both Europe and the world for several years.
