Latvijas Pasts post offices in shopping centres will be open during the public holidays; pensions and benefits will be paid on an earlier date

On the 1st, 4th and 6th of May 2019, which are the public holidays, only some Latvijas Pasts post offices in the largest shopping centres will provide postal services. The customers who get their benefits and pensions granted by the State Social Insurance Agency (VSAA) delivered to their place of residence through the intermediary of Latvijas Pasts with the expected pay-out date on the 5th and 6th of May will receive the money at an earlier date.  

Only some post offices in the largest shopping centres will be open during the public holidays: Labour Day on the 1st of May, the Day of Restoration of Independence of the Republic of Latvia on the 4th of May and the switched holiday day off on the 6th of May. The list of the post offices to be open during the public holidays and their opening hours are available here. Information on changes in the opening hours is also available on the spot in all post offices. 

Sunday, the 5th of May, will be a working day for those Latvijas Pasts post offices which are normally open at weekends and their opening hours will not change on this day, except for Mārupe post office, which will be open from 10 AM am to 6 PM.

Pensions and benefits granted by the VSAA that are to be received by the customers at their places of residence on the 5th and 6th of May will be delivered on the 3rd of May.
