Opening hours extended in five Riga post offices from the 10th of June 2019

In order to improve the possibilities of receiving postal services according to the habits of customers and the demand for postal services, the opening hours of Riga post offices No. 4, 11, 45, 46 and 83 will be changed from the 10th of June 2019, extending the working time of the post offices by one hour each working day and determining Saturdays as days off from that date forward.

Having analysed the customer’s habits of using the postal services in Riga post offices No. 4, 11, 45, 46 and 83, it has been concluded that the largest demand for postal services is observed in the afternoon and evening hours of working days, whereas Saturdays from the point of view of using postal services in these five post offices are unprofitable, as the number of customers visiting them is low. Thus, the decision has been taken to maximise the provision of services in these post offices on working days.

Consequently, starting from the 10th of June, Riga post office No. 4 at 2 Satiksmes Street, Riga post office No. 11 at 20 Marijas Street, Riga post office No. 45 at 5 Alūksnes Street, Riga post office No. 46 at 48 Kalnciema Street and Riga post office No. 83 at 1a Dzirciema Street will be providing services to customers from 8 AM to 8 PM every working day from Monday to Friday, thus tending to those customers who work according to traditional working hours every working day.

Information on the planned changes to the opening hours of Riga post offices No. 4, 11, 45, 46 and 83 has already been put up in places visible to the visitors of the post offices.
