On Līgo Day postal services will be available in some post offices; pensions and benefits will be paid at an earlier date
Only some post offices in the shopping centres of the largest Latvian cities will be open on Līgo Day, the 23rd of June 2019. The customers who get their benefits and pensions granted by the State Social Insurance Agency (VSAA) delivered to their place of residence through the intermediary of Latvijas Pasts with the expected pay-out period during the Midsummer holidays will receive the money at an earlier date.

On Līgo Day, which is Sunday, the 23rd of June, postal services will be available in some post offices, whereas on Jāņi Day, Monday, the 24th of June, all post offices will be closed. A detailed list of the post offices to be open in Riga, Mārupe, Daugavpils, Jelgava, Jēkabpils and Liepāja on the 23rd of June and their opening hours is available here.

The pensions and benefits granted by the VSAA that are to be received at the place of residence on the 19th and 20th of June will be delivered and paid to the customers on the 19th of June; the 20th of June will be the pay-out day for those customers whose scheduled payment date is the 21st and 22nd of June, while pensions and benefits scheduled for the 23rd and 24th of June will be paid on the 21st of June.
