Latvijas Pasts urges customers to beware of fraudsters and ignore fake e-mails sent on behalf of the company

Latvijas Pasts has discovered a number of fraudulent electronic messages sent under the company’s brand from the e-mail info@maarifegroup.com attempting to distribute malicious software by notifying of an allegedly undeliverable parcel due to an incorrectly specified address.

Latvijas Pasts emphasises that it is in no way affiliated with these messages, and therefore urges customers that attachments to fraudulent e-mails must not be opened under any circumstances and fake notifications must be ignored. Latvijas Pasts announces the latest information on all the company’s news in its official social media accounts and on its website.

Latvijas Pasts states that it has provided all information available to the company to the Information Technology Security Incident Response Institution Cert.lv for further prevention of fraudulent activities.
