Latvijas Pasts calls on its customers to choose the best postman and post office operator in each Latvian region for the ninth time

This is the ninth time that Latvijas Pasts has launched the traditional contest Mans Pastnieks (My Postman) to identify and pay tribute to the postman and the post office operator from each region of Latvia who has been recognised as the most reliable, helpful and dutiful by the customers. The contest questionnaires can be filled in and submitted online on http://anketa.pasts.lv/, while post-paid questionnaires that should be filled in by hand and sent to Latvijas Pasts have been inserted into all the newspaper and magazine subscription catalogues for 2020 delivered free of charge to the subscribers’ letter-boxes. The deadline for submitting the questionnaires is the 31st of January 2020.

Among the 3,800 employees of Latvijas Pasts there are representatives of about 150 various professions and occupations, with the largest and at the same time the most important share – around 3,000 employees – made up of postmen and post office employees. Thanks to the daily work of these employees, letters, small packets, press obtained by subscription and other postal services are delivered throughout Latvia, including to the most remote and isolated farmsteads in the countryside.

In order to express appreciation and thanks to one’s postal employee for the good work, Latvijas Pasts for the ninth time invites customers to fill in a questionnaire to assess the professional qualities of postmen and post office workers – responsibility towards the work carried out, communication skills, helpfulness, accuracy and knowledge.

The best postman and post office operator of 2019 will be identified within the contest My Postman in each region of Latvia: Kurzeme, Latgale, Vidzeme, Zemgale and Riga. The postmen and post office operators with the highest assessment rates given by the residents will receive valuable prizes from Latvijas Pasts.

At the beginning of October the printed questionnaires for the contest My Postman 2019 were sent out together with the free newspaper and magazine subscription catalogues of Latvijas Pasts for 2020, which were placed into the letter-boxes of the customers who have subscribed to any periodicals during the last two years. The filled questionnaires should be dropped in any Latvijas Pasts letter-box or dropped off at a post office by the 31st of January 2020. The questionnaires are post-paid. Latvijas Pasts has already received nearly 1,500 completed questionnaires from the customers. The contest questionnaire may be filled in and sent online until the mentioned deadline here

A total of 1,686 Latvijas Pasts postmen and post office operators were proposed for the best employee nomination within the contest My Postman 2018 organised by Latvijas Pasts and more than 8,500 customers’ questionnaires were received for them.
