Latvijas Pasts Customer Centre extends its working hours and answers customer phone calls also on Saturdays

To improve the operation of Latvijas Pasts single infoline, the working hours of the Customer Centre have been extended: now the Centre is open for two hours longer on workdays and answers customer phone calls also on Saturdays. The Customer Centre provides one-stop service for the customers of all post offices throughout the country using the most convenient means of communication: phoning, mobile text messaging, e-mailing or messaging on social networks. In the future it is also planned to equip Latvijas Pasts Customer Centre with virtual assistants.  

Creating a modern and customer-friendly model of the Customer Centre, Latvijas Pasts has taken over the handling of customer calls of all post offices in one place, providing identical service standards, identification of customer problems and issues, as well as their analysis and recording. The customer thus obtains uniform and accurate information on the possibilities of receiving the same service regardless of the location of the post office.

Kārlis Udrass, Head of Latvijas Pasts Customer Centre, points out: “Adjusting the working hours of the Customer Centre to the opening hours of the post offices that work longer is another step in improving communication with customers. Our customers already appreciate the wide range of communication opportunities with Latvijas Pasts: phoning, mobile text messaging, e-mailing or messaging on social networks. As we continue to modernise our customer service and diversify our communication possibilities, we also plan to equip the Customer Centre with virtual assistants.” 

Latvijas Pasts Customer Centre started a gradual takeover of incoming calls from post offices at the end of 2018, and currently the centralised remote communication is provided at all of the 377 full-spectrum post offices.
