From the 23rd of November 2019 Riga post offices No. 10 and 11 will also be open on Saturdays

In order to improve customer convenience and provide more efficient service during the pre-holiday period at the end of the year, the opening hours of Riga post offices No. 10 and 11 will be extended for almost two months – from the 23rd of November 2019 to the 15th of January 2020, determining Saturdays as working days as well.

Preparing for an increase in the number of items at the end of the year, Latvijas Pasts is extending the opening hours of Riga post office No. 10 at 41/43 Elizabetes Street and Riga post office No. 11 at 20 Marijas Street from the 23rd of November 2019 to the 15th of January 2020: during the mentioned period these post offices will also be open from 10 AM to 3 PM on Saturdays. Changes in the opening hours will allow customers to receive the required postal services on Saturdays at the time which is more convenient to them.

In order to provide more efficient customer service and faster receipt of postal services, since November 2019 Latvijas Pasts has set up special fast pick-up counters to ensure the delivery of items without delivery charges which operate in the eight biggest and most frequently visited post offices in Riga, Daugavpils and Rēzekne. A detailed list of the post offices with fast pick-up counters for the delivery of items and the opening hours of those counters is available here.

Analysing the current situation regarding the acceptance and delivery of items, as well as the provision of other postal services during the busiest months at the end of the year, Latvijas Pasts will assess the need for additional changes aimed at improving the customer service in the post offices.
