Postal item air traffic from Latvia to China is suspended from the 4th of February 2020

Taking into consideration that airlines have cancelled or restricted flights to China affected by coronavirus, as of the 4^th of February 2020 postal items from Latvia to China will no longer be delivered through the intermediary of Latvijas Pasts and Latvijas Pasts Eksprespasts. All items accepted for delivery to China will be stored at Latvijas Pasts until the resumption of air traffic with that country.

As the coronavirus is spreading, a number of airlines around the world with which Latvijas Pasts is cooperating to deliver items to China have cancelled or severely restricted air traffic with that country, the International Post Corporation reports. Therefore, starting from the 4^th of February 2020 the delivery of postal items from Latvia to China via Latvijas Pasts and Latvijas Pasts Eksprespasts is also suspended. 

All items received by Latvijas Pasts and Latvijas Pasts Eksprespasts for delivery to China will be stored in the company’s sorting centre until further decisions and resumption of air traffic.
