Eksprespasts, express mail service of Latvijas Pasts, ranks first in the world once again

Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts was once again recognised as the best express mail service in the world in 2019 among 198 competing member countries of the Express Mail Service (EMS) Cooperative of the Universal Postal Union. It was awarded the gold level quality assessment and the first place. The performance of express mail delivery services in the EMS companies worldwide is evaluated on an annual basis by the international auditing firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts received the highest ranking across all quality indicators analysed.

Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts has been securing top positions among the companies of the Universal Postal Union’s EMS Cooperative member countries for several years now and in 2019 it once again ranked first in the competition among the companies of 198 countries, according to the information provided by the EMS Cooperative.

The study is carried out by PriceWaterhouseCoopers worldwide through recording, analysing and evaluating, on a quarterly basis, the quality indicators of the express mail company of every member country, such as timely delivery of items, prompt data exchange, quality of customer service, increase in the number of cross-border items, adequate and quick response, traceability of the item route and other factors.

“In cooperation with foreign colleagues, Eksprespasts provides fast and convenient delivery services from hand to hand in many countries around the world, which are currently unfortunately hindered on a global scale due to the COVID-19 crisis. However, the results of 2019 demonstrate that Latvia provides the express mail service at the highest level. This assessment motivates our employees to continue working so that customers are satisfied and our team is pleased about the work done,” Ansis Karahons, Director of the Express Mail Department of Latvijas Pasts, points out.

In accordance with the study by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts delivers 99% of the items on time, ensures prompt data exchange for 98% of the items and provides customer service at the required level in 95% of the cases. The number of cross-border express items sent from Latvia in 2019 increased by 150%, 85% of telephone responses were provided to customers within 20 seconds and the traceability of items was ensured for every single item.

The results of Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts in the PriceWaterhouseCoopers study commissioned by the EMS Cooperative have been corresponding to the top positions in the competition among express mail service companies in both Europe and the world for several years.

Eksprespasts of Latvijas Pasts provides delivery services from hand to hand around the world, and, unlike in other methods of sending items, the route of these items can be tracked in all countries of the world where such service is offered.
