This year again Latvijas Pasts and Mammamuntetiem.lv invite everyone to greet fathers by sending special postcards

This year again Latvijas Pasts and the Latvian parents’ organisation Mammamuntetiem.lv invite everyone to show appreciation to dads with a special greeting on Father’s Day, sending one of the postcards created by Latvijas Pasts, which highlights dads’ special skills, such as making someone laugh, cooking the most delicious dishes and being supportive in all life situations. Choosing one of the three postcard design options on the website www.nosutipastkarti.lv and accurately filling in the indicated address fields, the postcards will be delivered to the addressees within Latvia by Father's Day, which will be celebrated in Latvia on the 13th of September this year.

You can log in to the website www.nosutipastkarti.lv created for sending postcards from today, the 25th of August 2020, using your account on social networks Facebook or Twitter. In order for the postcards to reach the correct addressees in the Republic of Latvia on time, it is essential to fill in the required address fields accurately, including the correct postcode, otherwise the postcard may travel longer to the recipient. In order to make sure that the postcode is correct, an address verification tool has been integrated into the postcard sending website.

Latvijas Pasts has been organising Father’s Day postcard sending campaigns since 2014, and for the last five years it has been collaborating with the Latvian parents’ organisation Mammamuntetiem.lv, encouraging more awareness and understanding of the role of fathers in the family and parenting.

The design of the greeting postcards for the campaign is specially created every year, emphasising the characteristics of dads or pointing out their special skills: for example, the 2018 postcard idea was May everyone have a dad like mine!, while in 2019 there was a possibility to choose a greeting postcard on the topic My dad the champion in joking, giving advice or pampering. In 2020 the different skills of dads are highlighted, such as making someone laugh, cooking the most delicious dishes and being supportive in all situations.

By combining the old tradition of sending postcards with the possibilities offered by modern digital technology, Latvijas Pasts has been organising the postcard sending campaigns on social networks since 2011. The most popular of them are dedicated to Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.

Latvijas Pasts wishes you a happy Father’s Day and invites you to take the opportunity to greet your dad with a special postcard, asking you to keep in mind that the number of postcards is limited.
