Pensions and benefits expected to be paid out on the public holiday will be delivered by Latvijas Pasts at an earlier date
Wednesday, the 18th of November 2020, which is a public holiday, will be a day off for the employees of Latvijas Pasts. The customers who get their benefits and pensions granted by the State Social Insurance Agency (VSAA) delivered to their place of residence through the intermediary of Latvijas Pasts with the expected pay-out day falling on the holiday will receive the money at an earlier date. 
 
On Wednesday, the 18th of November, which is the Proclamation Day of the Republic of Latvia, all post offices will be closed. Pensions and benefits granted by the VSAA which are to be received by customers at their places of residence on the the 18th of November will be delivered and paid on the 17th of November.
 
Dozens of Latvijas Pasts parcel lockers will be available for collecting items throughout the country according to the opening hours of shopping centres on the holiday. Information about Latvijas Pasts parcel locker network is available here
