Latvijas Pasts and Mammamuntetiem.lv invite everyone to greet their dads with special postcards on Father’s Day

As every year, Latvijas Pasts and the Latvian parents’ organisation Mammamuntetiem.lv invite everyone to show appreciation to their dads by sending special postcards on Father’s Day. The postcards prepared by Latvijas Pasts this year emphasise adventures and excitement when spending time with dads. Choosing one of the three postcard design options on the website www.nosutipastkarti.lv and accurately filling in the indicated address fields, the postcards will be delivered to the addressees within Latvia by Father's Day, which will be celebrated in Latvia on the 12th of September this year. It should be kept in mind that the number of the postcards is limited.

You can log in to the website www.nosutipastkarti.lv created for sending postcards from today, the 24th of August 2021, using your account on social networks Facebook or Twitter. In order for the postcards to reach the correct addressees in the Republic of Latvia on time, it is essential to fill in the required address fields accurately, including the correct postcode, otherwise the postcard may travel longer to the recipient. In order to make sure that the postcode is correct, an address verification tool has been integrated into the postcard sending website.

Latvijas Pasts has been organising the Father’s Day postcard sending campaigns since 2014, and for the last six years it has been collaborating with the Latvian parents’ organisation Mammamuntetiem.lv, jointly encouraging more awareness and understanding of the role of fathers in the family and parenting.

Every year a special design is created for the greeting postcards, highlighting the characteristic features of dads, their special skills, the value of the time spent together, etc. For example, the postcards of 2020 referred to fathers’ skills to make someone laugh, cook the most delicious dishes and be supportive in all life situations. In 2019 there was a possibility to choose a greeting postcard on the topic My dad the champion in joking, giving advice or pampering, while the 2018 postcard idea was May everyone have a dad like mine!. In 2021 the postcards speak of fathers as kings of adventure, with who it is exciting and memorable to be together.

By combining the old tradition of sending postcards with the possibilities offered by modern digital technology, Latvijas Pasts has been organising the postcard sending campaigns on social networks since 2011. The most popular of them are dedicated to Mother’s Day and Father’s Day: the number of those who wish to greet their loved ones and send a postcard increases every year. However, it should be kept in mind that the number of the postcards is limited.
