Changes in the opening hours of 29 Latvijas Pasts post offices in Riga, Kurzeme, Latgale and Zemgale during the state of emergency

Due to the state of emergency declared in Latvia and the restrictions established in order to contain the spread of the COVID-19 infection, Latvijas Pasts is changing the business hours of 29 post offices in Riga, Kurzeme, Latgale and Zemgale. In accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, Latvijas Pasts continues to provide services to all residents of Latvia, but enhanced security measures have been introduced to serve customers at the post offices. Latvijas Pasts urges customers to assess the need for visiting a post office, as well as to make maximum use of the opportunity to apply for postal services remotely.

During the state of emergency the opening hours of 29 Latvijas Pasts post offices in Riga, Bauska, Daugavpils, Garkalne, Jelgava, Jēkabpils, Katlakalns, Ķegums, Liepāja, Mārupe, Ogre, Skaistkalne and Tukums have been changed. This decision was made due to the state of emergency declared in Latvia and its conditions for containing the spread of the COVID-19 infection. The precise list of post offices with changed opening hours is available here

Following the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, Latvijas Pasts continues to provide services to all residents of Latvia. Customers do not have to show an interoperable certificate at the postal offices, but there are conditions that must be met when visiting a post office: it is mandatory to wear a face mask and keep a distance of two metres when visiting a post office, and customers with symptoms of respiratory illness are not allowed to visit a post office.

In order to avoid spending more time than necessary at a post office, Latvijas Pasts encourages you to make maximum use of the company’s mobile application, which allows you to apply for the service remotely and show up at the post office just in time for receiving your service. You can apply for services remotely in 86 largest and busiest post offices throughout Latvia; the list of these post offices is available here.

Latvijas Pasts continues to assess the optimal provision of post office operations and delivery of items, taking into account the state of emergency.
