Some post offices will be open during the year-end holidays; the 1st of January will be a day off for employees of Latvijas Pasts
Only some post offices in the shopping centres of the largest cities will be open during the year-end holidays on the 24th, 25th, 26th and 31st of December 2021, and they will have a different schedule on these days. The 1st of January 2022 will be a free day for all post offices. Pensions and benefits scheduled to be delivered at the customers’ places of residence on the 24th of December will be paid on the 23rd of December. The last day for delivery of items before Christmas in Latvia this year is the 23rd of December and for delivery before the turn of the year – the 30th of December.
 
Only some post offices in Riga, Mārupe, Daugavpils, Jelgava, Jēkabpils and Liepāja will be open during the public holidays on the 24th, 25th, 26th and 31st of December. The list of these post offices and their opening hours are available here. The 1st of January will be a free day for employees of all Latvijas Pasts post offices. 
 
Dozens of Latvijas Pasts parcel lockers will be available for collecting items throughout the country according to the opening hours of shopping centres on the holidays. Information about Latvijas Pasts parcel locker network is available here
 
The pensions and benefits granted by the State Social Insurance Agency which are scheduled to be received at places of residence on the 24th of December will be delivered and paid to the customers on the 23rd of December.
 
Latvijas Pasts would like to remind you that the last day for delivery of items before Christmas this year is the 23rd of December and for delivery before the turn of the year – the 30th of December.
