To improve customer convenience, 43 post offices in Kurzeme will have changed opening hours from the 17th of January 2022

Following the demand for postal services observed during the test period and customer habits, a decision was made to permanently change the opening hours of a total of 43 post offices of the Kurzeme Region located in Liepāja and Ventspils, as well as in the South Kurzeme, Kuldīga, Saldus, Talsi, Tukums and Ventspils Municipalities. For the most part, the post offices will open their doors to customers one hour earlier, thus ensuring convenient collection of postal items before the start of traditional business hours for working customers as well.

To analyse the demand and availability of services, potential changes in the opening hours were tested in a total of 43 post offices in Aizpute, Alsunga, Bārta, Brocēni, Cīrava, Dundaga, Džūkste, Engure, Ezere, Grobiņa, Irlava, Jaunpils, Kalni, Kandava, Kolka, Kursīši, Lapmežciems, Lieģi, Liepāja, Mērsrags, Nīca, Pāvilosta, Piltene, Priekule, Roja, Rucava, Rudbārži, Sabile, Stende, Šķēde, Talsi, Tukums, Turlava, Ugāle, Vaiņode, Valdemārpils, Vāne, Ventspils, Vērgale, Zaņa and Zūras from the 1st of October to the 31st of December 2021.

After the end of the test period, Latvijas Pasts made a decision on permanent changes in the opening hours of these post offices: from the 17th of January 2022, most of them will start working one hour earlier, thus ensuring convenient collection of postal items before the traditional business hours for working customers as well. However, there are also some post offices where the opening hours have been shortened due to falling demand for services and changing customer habits, or adjusted to the opening hours of the most frequently visited post office.

The detailed list of the Kurzeme post offices with changed business hours can be viewed here.

Information on the changes to the opening hours of the post offices will be put up in a place visible to the visitors of each post office.

In recent years, Latvijas Pasts has been actively implementing projects aimed at improving customer convenience and environment in various post offices throughout Latvia.
