Latvijas Pasts upgrades the visual look and improves functionality and customer convenience at 44 post offices

Latvijas Pasts has completed upgrading the visual image and improving the functionality of 44 post offices, redecorating them in accordance with uniform style guidelines, redesigning service counters, revising the product range and placing new modern retail stands. The modification project implemented at more than 40 post offices makes it possible for customers to receive services and purchase goods in a modern and comfortable setting, creating a positive atmosphere for both visitors and employees.

By improving the convenience of customers and employees, shaping a pleasant atmosphere at the post offices, modernising retail opportunities and creating a unified visual image, Latvijas Pasts has implemented an upgrade project in the design and functional facilities of 44 post offices throughout Latvia. The post offices have been redecorated, their service counters have been redesigned, modern retail equipment has been introduced, the range of traded goods has been revised and renewed and a unified design has been created in accordance with the company’s visual standard guidelines.

Mārcis Vilcāns, Chairman of the Board of Latvijas Pasts: “For historical reasons, Latvijas Pasts has a network of several hundred post offices – we are the most branched company in the whole country. Therefore, it is all the more important to move towards the formation of an environment fitting the 21st century in the sphere of customer service. Our plans are to become increasingly more open and customer-friendly, and the first forty-four post offices are just the beginning of what we want to look like in the eyes of both customers and employees as we operate and offer our services.”

The modification plan involved the refurbishment of 18 post offices in Riga: they are post offices No. 1, 4, 5, 9, 11, 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 35, 39, 55, 57, 58, 69, 82 and 83 and eight post offices around the capital: in Ādaži, Baldone, Kauguri, Ķekava, Piņķi, Ropaži, Salaspils and Sigulda. Five post offices underwent revamp in Kurzeme: Liepāja post offices No. 3 and 16, Pāvilosta and Saldus post offices and Ventspils post office No. 1. Another four of the upgraded post offices are in Latgale: Balvi, Līvāni and Krāslava post offices and Rēzekne post office No. 4, four are in Vidzeme: Alūksne, Limbaži, Salacgrīva and Smiltene post offices, and four are in Zemgale: Iecava and Ikšķile post offices, Jelgava post office No. 7 and Ogre post office No. 3.
