In order to improve the convenience of customers and employees, large-scale reconstruction works will begin in Daugavpils post office No. 17 at 34 Strādnieku Street on the 31st of October 2022. During the reconstruction, which is expected to last approximately one and a half months, the post office will continue to provide the delivery of postal items, while all other services, including cash withdrawals from the Postal Settlement System account, will be available at any other post office. The nearest post office to Daugavpils post office No. 17 is located 600 metres away in the shopping centre Rimi, 136 18. novembra Street.
Latvijas Pasts has already informed the public that, based on a study of the trends in the use of postal services in Daugavpils, Daugavpils post office No. 2 in the shopping centre Solo at 9 Rīgas Street will be expanded as of the 16th of November 2022, while the nearby Daugavpils post office No. 1 at 42a Rīgas Street will be merged with Daugavpils post office No. 17 at 84 Strādnieku Street. Daugavpils post office No. 17 is located in spacious premises that are planned to be reconstructed to improve the convenience of customers and employees.
Approximately a month and a half will be needed to complete the reconstruction of Daugavpils post office No. 17, and the works are scheduled to start on the 31st of October. During this time, the post office will continue to deliver postal items, and you can use any other post office for other services, such as sending items and subscribing to press, or withdrawing and depositing cash using the Postal Settlement System account. The delivery of postal items at Daugavpils post office No. 17 during the reconstruction period will be provided every business day, Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 6 PM.
The nearest post office to Daugavpils post office No. 17 is located 600 metres away and it is post office No. 20 operating in the shopping centre Rimi, 136 18. novembra Street. It is open every day, including Saturdays and Sundays, from 9 AM to 8 PM. You can also use one of Latvijas Pasts parcel lockers, which are located both at post office No. 20, 136 18. novembra Street and in the shopping centre Solo, 9 Rīgas Street. In the near future, it is planned to install a new and modern Latvijas Pasts outdoor parcel locker in Daugavpils, which will be available to customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The number and location of the post offices in Daugavpils is determined by the Decision of the Public Utilities Commission’s Council on Determining the Universal Postal Service Obligations, which stipulates that Latvijas Pasts must provide four permanent post offices in Daugavpils. Latvijas Pasts complies with these requirements in full and, as a result of the planned changes, it will continue to provide postal services in five post offices after the 16th of November.
