Some Latvijas Pasts post offices will be open on the 18th of November; pensions and benefits will be paid at an earlier date

The 18th of November, which is the Proclamation Day of the Republic of Latvia, will be a non-working day at Latvijas Pasts; however, some post offices in the shopping centres of the largest Latvian cities will be open. The customers who get their benefits and pensions granted by the State Social Insurance Agency (VSAA) delivered to their place of residence through the intermediary of Latvijas Pasts with the expected pay-out period during the holidays will receive the money at an earlier date.

On the 18th of November, which is the Proclamation Day of the Republic of Latvia, postal services will only be available in some post offices in the shopping centres of the largest Latvian cities and the opening hours of these post offices will be adjusted to the opening hours of the relevant shopping centres: these post offices and their business hours are listed in the quick tools section of Latvijas Pasts website, Changes in Business Hours

Pensions and benefits granted by the VSAA which are to be received by customers at their places of residence on the 16th of November will be delivered and paid on the 15th of November; the 16th of November will be the payday for those customers whose pensions and benefits are scheduled to be delivered to their places of residence on the 17th and 18th of November, while pensions and benefits scheduled for the 19th and 20th of November will be paid at places of residence on the 17th of November.

Dozens of Latvijas Pasts indoor parcel lockers will be available for collecting and sending items throughout the country according to the opening hours of the shopping centres during the holiday period. In addition, customers can use outdoor parcel lockers next to several LIDL stores and Circle K gas stations available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Information about the parcel locker network of Latvijas Pasts is available here.
