In order to expand the possibilities of receiving and sending items, new outdoor parcel lockers of Latvijas Pasts have been placed at the gas stations of Circle K, the leading convenient shopping and fuel retailer in Latvia, also outside Riga: the first of them have started operating in Jūrmala and Sigulda, and this week a new parcel locker is planned to be installed near a Circle K gas station in Liepāja as well. Overall, Latvijas Pasts plans to install at least 120 modern outdoor parcel lockers this year and next year, ensuring efficient sending and receiving of items at a place and time convenient for customers.
Latvijas Pasts actively continues the implementation of its plan for the development of the parcel locker network, placing the new generation of outdoor parcel lockers in strategically advantageous locations for customers at Circle K gas stations: the first parcel lockers in Circle K network outside Riga are already available to customers at 42a Dubultu prospekts in Jūrmala and 2 Mazā Saules Street in Sigulda.
This week, the new Latvijas Pasts outdoor parcel locker will also start operating near Circle K gas station at 2/8 Esperanto Street, Liepāja.
A total of ten Latvijas Pasts parcel lockers have been installed next to Circle K gas stations so far: apart from Jūrmala and Sigulda, the other eight operate in Riga: 164c A. Deglava Street, 5a Jūrmalas gatve, 25a Anniņmuižas bulvāris, 40 Dzirciema Street, 203 and 265 Brīvības gatve, 105 Vienības gatve and 121a Biķernieku Street.
As part of the development of various item delivery solutions tailored to the modern consumption habits of its customers, Latvijas Pasts began implementing its ambitious plan in August to deploy outdoor parcel lockers, envisaging the expansion of the parcel locker network with at least 120 new parcel lockers.
During the first stage, outdoor parcel lockers have been installed near six Lidl stores in Riga, Rēzekne and Jelgava, and the second stage involves the placement of parcel lockers next to Circle K gas stations.
Latvijas Pasts is the only company in Latvia that offers both indoor parcel locker services, which are very important for parcels that require a certain temperature regime, without exposing them to fluctuations in the surrounding environment, and outdoor parcel lockers, ensuring the collection of items at any time of the day.
