In order to expand the possibilities of receiving and sending items in Latgale, new outdoor parcel lockers of Latvijas Pasts have also been placed in the Latgalian region: at the gas stations of Circle K, the leading convenient shopping and fuel retailer in Latvia, and in other places easily accessible to customers in Daugavpils, Ludza and Rēzekne. The modern outdoor parcel lockers of Latvijas Pasts are available to customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Overall, Latvijas Pasts plans to install at least another 120 modern outdoor parcel lockers this year and next year, ensuring efficient sending and receiving of items at a place and time convenient for customers. Currently, there are already more than 100 outdoor and indoor parcel lockers in the Latvijas Pasts network.
Latvijas Pasts actively continues to expand the parcel locker network, placing the new generation of outdoor parcel lockers in strategically advantageous locations for customers also in Latgale, including at Circle K gas stations and other places easily accessible to customers. Customers have access to these parcel lockers at any time of the day, every day.
Parcel lockers are already available to customers next to Circle K gas stations at 28 Ventspils Street in Daugavpils, 143b Atbrīvošanas aleja in Rēzekne, next to Ditton shopping centre at 60 Cietokšņa Street in Daugavpils and at 30 Stacijas Street in Ludza.
“We are pleased that we have started installing modern and easy-to-use outdoor parcel lockers also in Latgale at a fast pace. Thus, we can also provide our customers in Latgale with the necessary service and quality for the comfortable collection and sending of items,” Mārcis Vilcāns, Chairman of the Board of Latvijas Pasts, points out.
A total of 21 new generation outdoor parcel lockers of Latvijas Pasts are now available to customers in Daugavpils, Jelgava, Jūrmala, Liepāja, Ludza, Rēzekne, Riga and Sigulda in addition to two previously operating outdoor parcel lockers: one of them is the innovative parcel tower, which is one of a kind in Latvia. There are currently more than 100 outdoor and indoor parcel lockers in the overall network of the Latvijas Pasts parcel lockers.
As part of the development of various item delivery solutions tailored to the modern consumption habits of its customers, Latvijas Pasts began implementing its ambitious plan in August to install outdoor parcel lockers, envisaging the expansion of the parcel locker network with at least 120 new parcel lockers.
During the first stage, outdoor parcel lockers have been installed near Lidl stores in Riga, Rēzekne and Jelgava, and during the subsequent stages, parcel lockers have been placed next to Circle K gas stations and in other locations easily accessible to customers in Riga and outside the capital.
Latvijas Pasts is the only company in Latvia that offers both indoor parcel locker services, which are very important for parcels that require a certain temperature regime, without exposing them to fluctuations in the surrounding environment, and outdoor parcel lockers, ensuring the collection and sending of items at any time of the day.
