Jēkabpils residents from flood-affected areas may receive postal items, as well as pensions at Jēkabpils post office No. 1

Latvijas Pasts post offices in Jēkabpils are operating in the usual mode and the delivery of postal items is also provided to the extent possible. Residents of the areas affected by the flood are invited to receive postal items – including pensions, which are usually delivered to their places of residence by postmen – at Jēkabpils post office No. 1, 131 Brīvības Street.

Although Jēkabpils post offices are operating according to the usual working hours and the delivery of postal items is also provided, the damage caused by the flood and the related hazard prevent the postmen from accessing all addresses where item delivery is required.

Some of the residents and legal entities in the areas affected by the flood have evacuated, and some of the addressees are working and staying in other – temporary – premises. Therefore, residents and legal entities from the flood-affected areas are invited to receive their postal items at Jēkabpils post office No. 1, 131 Brīvības Street. This also applies to pensions paid by the State Social Insurance Agency, which are usually delivered to the customers’ places of residence by postmen.

Jēkabpils post office No. 1 is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 AM to 6 PM and on Tuesday and Thursdays from 8 AM to 7 PM.
