To expand the possibilities of receiving and sending items, in February 2023 Latvijas Pasts has supplemented its parcel locker network with another ten new parcel lockers that have been installed in Grobiņa, Jelgava, Kandava, Mārupe, Riga, Salaspils and Viļāni. The total Latvijas Pasts network currently consists of 136 outdoor and indoor parcel lockers. By the end of the first quarter of 2023, it is planned to install at least 10 more outdoor parcel lockers, and by the end of the year the total number of new and modern outdoor parcel lockers will reach at least 120 machines.
Latvijas Pasts actively continues to expand the parcel locker network, placing the new generation of outdoor parcel lockers in strategically advantageous locations for customers across the country. In February 2023, another ten new outdoor parcel lockers were installed, bringing the total number of parcel lockers in the Latvijas Pasts network to 136 parcel lockers. The new outdoor parcel lockers are available to customers at any time of the day, every day.
In February 2023, new parcel lockers were installed at 62 Lielā Street, Grobiņa; near the shopping centre Maxima, 10 Meiju ceļš and at Circle K gas station, 20 Akadēmijas Street, Jelgava; near the shopping centre Maxima, 4b Abavas Street, Kandava; near the shopping centre Elvi, 26 Lielā Street, Mārupe; near the shopping centre Maxima, 1a Dzirciema Street, near the shopping centre Mēbeļu nams, 72 Dzelzavas Street, and near the shopping centre Rimi, 110 A.Deglava Street, Riga; near the store Senā bode, 38 Rīgas Street, Salaspils; and at 23 Raiņa Street, bldg. 1, Viļāni.
By the end of the first quarter of this year, it is planned to install another 10 new parcel lockers, continuing this process throughout 2023.
Latvijas Pasts is the only company in Latvia that offers both indoor parcel locker services, which are very important for parcels that require a certain temperature regime, without exposing them to fluctuations in the surrounding environment, and outdoor parcel lockers, ensuring the collection and sending of items at any time of the day. Among the parcel lockers of Latvijas Pasts there is also a parcel tower in Pļavnieki, Riga, which is the only one of its kind in Latvia. It is an efficient and modern parcel delivery machine with the automated item delivery function, which has space to store up to 500 items at a time.
As part of the development of various item delivery solutions tailored to the modern consumption habits of its customers, Latvijas Pasts began implementing its ambitious plan in August 2022 to install outdoor parcel lockers, with a view to expanding the parcel locker network with at least 120 new parcel lockers.
