To develop and diversify the options for receiving and sending items, the parcel locker network of Latvijas Pasta was expanded in March 2023 with new outdoor parcel lockers in Ādaži, Brocēni, Daugavpils, Dreiliņi, Riga, Rūjiena and Valmiera. Thus, the total Latvijas Pasts network currently consists of 146 outdoor and indoor parcel lockers. During the second quarter of 2023, it is planned to install another 25 modern outdoor parcel lockers.
Latvijas Pasts actively continues to expand its parcel locker network, placing the new generation of outdoor parcel lockers in strategically advantageous locations for customers across the country. As of March 2023, the total number of parcel lockers in the Latvijas Pasts network amounts to 146 parcel lockers. The new outdoor parcel lockers are available to customers at any time of the day, every day.
In March 2023, new parcel lockers were installed near the store Top, 20 Gaujas Street, Ādaži; near the shopping centre Mego, 1a Lielcieceres Street, Brocēni; near the shopping centre Aveņu centrs, 11a Raipoles Street, Daugavpils; near the shopping centre Sāga, 4 Biķeru Street, Dreiliņi; near the shopping centre Mego, 10 Graudu Street, Riga; near the store Top, 8 Brīvības Street, Rūjiena; and near the shopping centre Rimi, 74 Rīgas Street, and at Circle K gas station, 29 Stacijas Street, Valmiera
During the second quarter, it is planned to install another 25 new parcel lockers, continuing the expansion of the network throughout 2023.
Latvijas Pasts is the only company in Latvia that offers both indoor parcel locker services, which are very important for parcels that require a certain temperature regime, without exposing them to fluctuations in the surrounding environment, and outdoor parcel lockers, ensuring the collection and sending of items at any time of the day.
Among the parcel lockers of Latvijas Pasts there is also a parcel tower in Pļavnieki, Riga, which is the only one of its kind in Latvia. It is an efficient and modern parcel delivery machine with the automated item delivery function, which has space to store up to 500 items at a time.
As part of the development of various item delivery solutions tailored to the modern consumption habits of its customers, Latvijas Pasts began implementing its ambitious plan in August 2022 to install outdoor parcel lockers, with a view to expanding the parcel locker network with at least 120 new parcel lockers.
