The new press subscription campaign is Open and See the World! starts on the 1st of October 2023. Latvijas Pasts offers subscriptions to a total of 458 Latvian and foreign press publications for 2024. Among them are 90 newspapers and 183 magazines issued in Latvia. It is more convenient and more advantageous to subscribe by press on the website www.abone.lv, but subscription is also possible at any post office, from a postman, or by calling the information lines of Latvijas Pasts on +371 67008001 or +371 27008001.
As every year, the 1st of October this year traditionally marks the launch of the subscription campaign for the next year, offering any of the 458 press publications: newspapers and magazines issued in Latvia or abroad. The slogan of this year’s subscription campaign – Open and See the World! – invites everyone to explore the diverse world through the pages of magazines and newspapers, without leaving home or any other favorite reading place.
“They say that the world is changing too quickly, we run the risk of not being able to keep up, not being informed about everything, and not comprehending the patterns. However, as the world has changed, so has the press – newspapers and magazines. And that is not bad at all. From daily news retellings, the press has evolved into an information medium dominated by event analysis, current viewpoints, life stories of personalities, and compilations of historical, cultural, entertainment, or scientific material. This means that we can receive something condensed that will allow us to subsequently draw our judgments and develop our picture of the world based on real and dependable facts. And we can keep up, we can be informed, and we can comprehend the patterns. Happy reading in 2024!” Beāte Krauze-Čebotare, Chairwoman of the Board of Latvijas Pasts, points out.
The list of the periodicals offered for subscription at Latvijas Pasts is available on the e-subscription website of Latvijas Pasts www.abone.lv or in the Newspaper and Magazine Subscription Catalogue 2024 that is available at all post offices, in other postal service points and from postmen and which has also been delivered to the letter-boxes of the customers who have subscribed to any periodicals during the last year.
