Latvijas Pastsissues new summery stamp in popular Flowers series

To mark the coming of the spring, Latvijas Pasts has released a new stamp in the Flowers series - the Rose designed artist Lilija Dinere. The first day event will take place on March 25 in the Sakta post office in 32 Brīvības Boulevard, Riga, from 8 AM to 8 PM.

The face value of the new stamp is LVL 0.35, total print run - 1,000,000 stamps.

The flower motif in stamps is very popular among clients, so Latvijas Pasts has begun a special series dedicated to flowers. The first stamp released as part of the series was the Peony last year, and, starting Friday, clients of Latvijas Pasts will be able to purchase the second stamp of the series - the Rose - at all post offices.

"Rose is a very beautiful, bright, summery stamp. The concept of the Flowers series arose while thinking about our clients who use the services of Latvijas Pasts to send greetings," says Edmunds Bebrišs, philatelic expert and director of the Commercial Management Department at Latvijas Pasts.

Peony, the previous stamp of the Flowers series, was met with considerable demand among clients of Latvijas Pasts and has already been sold out. It is expected that Rose will become just as popular.
