Latvijas Pasts organizes special cancellation events to mark U19 World Basketball Championship for Men taking place in Latvia

In supporting Latvia's U19 men's basketball team, Latvijas Pasts is holding special cancellation events in the three cities where the championship is taking place - Valmiera, Liepāja and Riga. The cancellation events for the envelopes specially created for this occasion will be held from June 30 to July 10.

In the envelope and special cancellation dedicated to the basketball championship, artist Ģirts Grīva has depicted a basketball game - the envelope shows a player of the Latvian national team dribbling, while the cancellation shows the ball being thrown. The envelope, with a total print run of 2000, will be available for purchase for LVL 0.35.

The newly-released envelopes with the special cancellation will be available in all three cities where the cancellation events take place:
