Five new stamps to be added to standard stamp series Flowers

Five new stamps to be released at the end of the first working week of 2015 will make an addition to the standard stamp series Flowers denominated in the euro. Each of the stamps will have a different denomination, and they can be used to pay for various mailings and combined together to make up the value required. The overall print run of the new stamps is 3.5 million copies. The first-day cancellation event will take place in the post office Sakta, 32 Brīvības Boulevard, Riga, on January 9, 2015, from 7:30 AM to 7 PM.

The standard stamp series Flowers includes five new stamps with different denominations: Snowdrop – € 0.10, Dahlia – € 0.25 and Lily – € 0.70 – are intended for combining together with the stamps of other denominations, while Pot Marigold with a denomination of € 0.78 is suitable for mailing a regular Class A letter to the European Union countries and Sweet Pea with a denomination of € 2.13 can be used for sending a registered Class A letter to any country outside the European Union.

The print run of the new stamps with a denomination of 10 cents and 25 cents is 1 million each, while those with a denomination of 70 cents, 78 cents and € 2.13 have the print run of 500,000 copies each.
