On April 10, 2015, Latvijas Pasts releases two new stamps and a cover in the joint stamp series of the European countries. The release is dedicated to old toys. The first-day special cancellation of the cover and presentation of the stamps will take place in the post office Sakta, 32 Brīvības Boulevard, Riga, until 7 PM.

The new cover and the stamps Europa – Old Toys in the European series have been designed by Arta Ozola Jaunarāja. The denominations of the new stamps are € 0.78 with a print run of 120,000 copies and € 1.71 with a print run of 100,000 copies. The stamps have been printed at Baltic Banknote printing house in Latvia.

The originator of Europa postage stamps is PostEurop Association, and stamps with a single logo and a common theme in this series have been issued throughout Europe since 1994. Latvijas Pasts traditionally releases two stamps in this series every year. In previous years, the themes of Europa postage stamps were related to literature, natural attractions, travel, postal transport, etc.
