A set of postage stamps issued on the centenary of Latvijas Pasts and the State of Latvia has been released

Latvijas Pasts has released a set of postage stamps, which includes all stamps issued during this year – a total of 20 stamp releases, consisting of 26 stamps and three stamp blocks. Among the philatelic releases of the passing year there are unique stamps related to the centenary of the State of Latvia and Latvijas Pasts. The sets of stamps of 2018 are available in the largest post offices of Latvijas Pasts, in the e-shop of Latvijas Pasts, as well as in the Greeting House in the Christmas Market of the Dome Square.

The sets of Latvijas Pasts stamps of 2018 includes a total of 20 stamp releases, comprising 26 stamps and three stamp blocks, with their total print run amounting to 5.3 million copies. The set of postage stamps is a convenient way of collecting stamps, as it contains all stamps issued this year, ensuring their functional use and visibility.

The sets of the most recent stamps are available for everyone interested in the largest post offices of Latvijas Pasts, in the e-shop of Latvijas Pasts and – until the 31^st of December – in the special post office of Latvijas Pasts in the Greeting House in the Christmas Market of the Dome Square, Riga.  

A number of unique design stamps have been issued in 2018 to mark the centenary of Latvijas Pasts and the State of Latvia, including the first irregularly shaped stamp in the form of the map of Latvia, the repeated release of the first postage stamp of the Republic of Latvia which was initially issued in 1918 and the three final stamps in the stamp series Republic of Latvia – 100 dedicating them to the tradition of the Latvian Song and Dance Celebration.

The issue of well-known and traditional stamp series also continued in 2018, including series such as Outstanding Latvian Artists, Lighthouses of Latvia, Flowers, Latvian Birds, Christmas, etc.
