From 2020 postal items to Campione d`Italia must be sent using an Italian postal code

According to European Union (EU) regulation, as of the 1^st of January 2020 the Swiss enclave Campione d`Italia was returned to Italy, and the postal code for the area has changed accordingly, the International Post Corporation reports. From now on postal items to recipients in Campione d`Italia must be sent using the Italian postal code 22061.

Until now Campione d`Italia existed as an Italian territory within Switzerland, but according to European Union regulation as of the 1^st of January 2020 this municipality was returned to Italy and included in the EU customs zone. 

The delivery of postal items to the addressees in Campione d`Italia will accordingly be ensured by the Italian postal operator Poste Italiane.

Therefore postal items to recipients in Campione d`Italia should now be sent specifying Italy instead of Switzerland as the country of destination and using the postal code 22061 instead of the previous postal code 6911, according to information provided by the International Post Corporation.
