Latvijas Pasts plans to make three new stamp releases in May 2020
In May 2020 Latvijas Pasts plans to make three new postage stamp releases: the Europa series will be supplemented with two stamps, one stamp will be added to the Latvian Architecture series and one stamp will be dedicated to the International Year of Plant Health. Observing the national security requirements for containing the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, the first day stamp cancellation events will not take place, but those interested in the stamp cancellation options are invited to contact us by writing to the e-mail address: filatelija@pasts.lv

On the 8th of May 2020 Latvijas Pasts plans to supplement the Europa postage stamp series with two new stamps. Its theme this year is the Ancient Postal Routes. On the 15th of May the second stamp dedicated to the theme of water towers will be issued in the Latvian Architecture series, and on the 29th of May a stamp in honour of the International Year of Plant Health will be released.

Due to the emergency situation in the country and in order to contain the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, the special first day stamp cancellation events will not be held. However, it will be possible for collectors and those interested in philately to stamp the new stamp releases by contacting the Stamp and Philately Department of Latvijas Pasts in advance by e-mail: filatelija@pasts.lv.
