Latvijas Pasts starts 2023 with six stamps in the philatelic series Domestic Animals and Flowers
Latvijas Pasts starts 2023 with six postage stamps, supplementing the philatelic series Domestic Animals and Flowers and releasing three new stamps in each of the series. The new releases are being issued on the 13th of January. Each of the stamps has a different face value and print run. The new stamps will first be available for purchase at the post offices of the largest cities, as well as in the e-shop of Latvijas Pasts https://veikals.pasts.lv/. The first day cancellation of the stamps is scheduled to take place at Riga post office No. 10, 41/43 Elizabetes Street, Riga, from 9 AM to 6 PM on the 13th of January. 
 
On the 13th of January 2023, Latvijas Pasts is supplementing the stamp series Domestic Animals and Flowers, releasing three new stamps with a different face value and print run in each of the series. 
 
The philatelic series Domestic Animals is being supplemented with three new stamps featuring a rabbit, a turkey and a horse. They are accompanied by the special cover with a print run of 800 copies. These stamps have a self-adhesive base and are particularly easy to use. 
 
The stamp Horse has a print run of 500,000 copies and a face value of €1.65 and corresponds to the postage of items in the weight class up to 20 grams within Latvia. The print run of the stamp Rabbit amounts to 250,000 copies and its face value is €0.45. The stamp Turkey has been released in 250,000 copies and its face value is €0.65. The stamps Rabbit and Turkey are designed to be combined with stamps of other face value. 
 
The philatelic series Flowers is also being supplemented with three new stamps depicting a tulip, a rose and a peony. The print run of each stamp is 100,000 copies. The new stamps are accompanied by the first day cover with a print run of 800 copies.  
 
The face value of the stamp Tulip is €0.02, the face value of the stamp Rose is €0.05 and the face value of the stamp Peony is €0.15. All three new stamps in the series Flowers are designed to be combined with stamps of other face value.   
 
All new philatelic releases have been designed by the artist Ģirts Grīva.
