Payments

You can make transfers by clearing domestically and abroad, as well as cash payments to foreign countries from the post office, in which your account is opened.

 

Domestic Payments

If you have an account opened at any of our post offices, you have access to the widest range of transfers both within Latvia and to other countries. Transactions can be carried out at post offices.

Enjoy the following benefits:

  • avoid the limitations imposed on cash payments 
  • ensure the confidentiality of transactions carried out
  • receive printed statements certifying the payments made to your e-mail or at the post office
  • register a regular payment to transfer a fixed amount weekly, monthly, half-yearly or annually

International Payments

If you have an account opened at any of our post offices, you have access to the widest range of transfers both within Latvia and to other countries. Transactions can be carried out at post offices.

International transfers are payments to foreign banks. Becoming our customer, you will enjoy all the benefits offered by “Latvijas Pasts”, including making international transfers very quickly and conveniently and receiving payments from any country. Since the introduction of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), you can make quick and convenient euro transfers to 28 EU Member States as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and Monaco (SEPA payment).

In order to make a SEPA payment:

  • the currency must be EUR
  • the recipient must have an IBAN account (written without spaces)
  • specify the identification code (SWIFT/BIC) of the receiving bank
  • choose between economic or standard payment
  • pay the fee set by “Latvijas Pasts”

An economic SEPA payment is transferred to the recipient's account no later than on the second business day.

 

 

As of January 11, 2021, Latvijas Pasts changes Money transfers rates, continuing to provide customers with one of the lowest commission payments in the country.

Changes in tariffs will be applied to Postal account system account transfers to a credit institutions in cash, domestic and international money transfers. Added fee to PMLP registry check when customer uses power of attorney and for payment cancellation.

As of January 11, 2021  persons from age of 16 are eligible to open Postal account system account.
